Note Names
Our note names consist of the first seven letters of the alphabet
(A, B, C, D, E, F, G) -
with "A" as the lowest and "G " as the highest.

Since, on the staff, notes alternate from line to space
and the Treble Clef sets the second line of the staff to "G":
- F is on the space directly below G
- E is on the line directly below F
- D is on the space directly below E
Here we run out of lines. So, we add lines below the staff.
These extra lines are called "ledger Lines"
- C is on the line directly below D (1st ledger line below staff)
- B is on the space directly below C (Below 1st ledger line)
- A is on the line directly below B (2nd ledger line below the staff)
So our first 7 notes starting at G and descending to A would be:

And starting at A and ascending to G would be:

For the next note higher than G, we start with A again.
The example below shows the notes from A below the treble clef
to G directly above the treble clef.
